Bradycardia Leading To Pacemaker Placement: A Characteristic Prodromal Syndrome Of VGKCC/LGI1 Antibody Associated Encephalitis (P5.195)

CONCLUSIONS: Acute bradycardia with associated heightened emotionality is a distinctive prodromal, possibly epileptic, syndrome of VGKCC/LGI1-encephalitis. The neuroanatomical localization most likely relates to insular involvement, a cortical area involved in cardiac autonomic regulation. Whether earlier diagnosis and initiation of immunosuppresion at the time of the neurocardiac prodrome will help to prevent progression to encephalopathy, as has been proposed for FBDS, remains to be determined.Disclosure: Dr. Naasan has nothing to disclose.
