Predictors of Disability Extremes in Patients with Multiple Sclerosis Treated with Interferon-beta Using the Swedish MS Registry (P4.188)

CONCLUSIONS:NAb-status was not differently distributed in the two extreme groups. Even though NAbs are known to have the capacity to block endogenous Interferon-beta, our results indicate that carriage of NAbs does not seem to have any detectible detrimental effect for the individual, beyond lack of efficacy of Interferon-beta.As expected, the strongest predictor of deterioration was age at diagnosis, supposedly correlated with a later onset of disease.Disclosure: Dr. Fink has received personal compensation for activities with Novartis.
