Trigeminal Neuralgia to a Tibial Tumour; Four Degrees of Separation (P3.039)

We describe the case of a 62year old woman who presented with headache and right facial pain in the distribution of the second branch of the trigeminal nerve. Three years previously she complained of right leg pain and a corresponding right tibial lesion was identified on bone scan. She later developed a papulovesicular rash at her elbows, fingers, ankles, kness and face with arthralgia of interphalangeal joints. Axillary lymphadenopathy developed subsequently. An underlying inflammatory aetiology was suspected and her symptoms responded to immunosuppression with steroids.RESULTS OF INVESTIGATIONSBiopsy of the right tibial lesion revealed a myofibroblastic tumour.
