Biogen wins dismissal of investor suit over Tecfidera patient death

A federal appeals court in Boston has dismissed a suit claiming that Biogen and its top executives misled investors about how the 2014 death of a patient on Tecfidera would impact sales of the blockbuster multiple sclerosis drug. The First Circuit Court of Appeals in Boston on Friday upheld a lower court’s decision to dismiss the case, which stems from Biogen’s (Nasdaq: BIIB) disclosure in October 2014 that a patient who had taken Tecfidera for more than four years in a clinical trial had died… (Source: bizjournals.com Health Care:Biotechnology headlines)
